The boundaries of my childhood were confined to my grandfather’s place, where I was born and raised. I spent my early days watching distant buses heading to town and airplanes flying across the sky to unknown destinations. At that time, I never imagined myself moving beyond my birthplace for higher education or any other purpose. In my rural community, people rarely ventured beyond their comfort zones, and I thought I would follow the same path.

As I progressed through my education in this village, my father recognized the need for his children to receive a quality education and decided that we must move to the town, where better educational opportunities were available. Inspired by his determination and spirit, I made a bold decision to pursue higher studies abroad—a step that is crucial for advancing my career as a teacher and scholar.

I have been advised, and I firmly believe, that public administration as an academic discipline originated in the USA. If I aspire to pursue a Ph.D. in this field, there is no better place than the USA to further my education. This opportunity will not only enhance my knowledge but also equip me with the tools and expertise necessary to contribute meaningfully to the field of public administration, both in my country and globally.
